I am a political scientist and security and defence policy professional with over 10 years of experience working at the intersection of international security, irregular migration, conflict, and governance. I provide strategic analysis, risk assessment, and evidence-based policy advice to governments, EU institutions, and international organisations, helping them anticipate and respond to complex security challenges.

I obtained my PhD from the Department of Government, University of Essex (UK). My expertise encompasses security and defence policy, irregular migration, organised immigration crime, border security, migration-security dynamics, hybrid threats, conflict analysis, and strategic governance. I combine academic research with operational experience to analyse emerging risks, evaluate policy responses, and support evidence-based decision-making through quantitative analysis, large datasets, and strategic assessment.

My research interests include conflict transformation, nonviolent action, political violence, and conflict processes. Much of my academic work examines political mobilisation and its determinants, dynamics, and outcomes using advanced quantitative methods. My research has been published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution, the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Politics, International Interactions, Learned Publishing, Studies in Conflict & Terrorism, Global Studies Quarterly, and International Peacekeeping.
